Every fire alarm system in commercial use today is blind to the pre-alarm period — the window between when a fire condition begins developing and when it crosses the threshold that triggers an alarm. In slow-developing industrial fires, this window can be 30 minutes to several hours.
HESDA™ reads the sensor data that already exists — sub-threshold smoke density trends, abnormal heat accumulation, multi-sensor environmental anomalies — and detects developing fire conditions before any detector threshold is crossed. The data exists. The sensors exist. HESDA™ is the first system built to use them.

Commercial security systems today are fundamentally human-dependent. The Core Insight
Every threshold-based detector — smoke, heat, gas — is architecturally incapable of reporting anything until its threshold is crossed. It cannot report that smoke density is rising. It cannot report that a heat detector has been reading 15 degrees above baseline for 20 minutes. The data exists. The sensors are measuring it. But no conventional system reads or reports it.
